From January 9 to 16, 2021, the Tengandogo University Hospital Center in Ouagadougou hosted cardiac surgery days, organized with the French NGO La Chaîne de l'Espoir.

For the first time in the country's history, children suffering from heart defects have benefited from open-heart surgery thanks to Franco-Burkinabé medical teams.
