Has she switched to the dark side of social networks?

Gina Carano was fired this Wednesday from

The Mandalorian

series

, available on Disney +, in which she played the character of Cara Dune.

She “is no longer currently employed by LucasFilm and we have no plans with her for the future.

Its publications, on social networks, denigrating people because of their political or religious identities, are odious and unacceptable, ”said a spokesperson for the production company, quoted by Deadline.

The 38-year-old actress shared a TikTok post on Wednesday equating today's Republican Party sympathizers with Jews under Nazi Germany.

#FireGinaCarano

“Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government at first made them hate by their neighbors just because they were Jews.

How is that different from hating an individual for their political ideas, ”she wrote.

In the process, the hashtag #FireGinaCarano ("Virez Gina Carano") was massively shared by indignant Internet users on Twitter.

The actress and ex-fighter in mixed martial arts (MMA) was not her first online controversy.

In recent months, she has notably made fun of the Covid-19 vaccine and the wearing of a mask and spoke of "electoral fraud" about the last US presidential election.
