On the afternoon of the 11th, a dump truck crossed the median strip and collided with a passenger car in the opposite lane on a national road in Urasoe City, Okinawa Prefecture, killing two people including a boy, one unconscious, and three injured.

At around 1:20 pm on the 11th, a dump truck running on Route 330 in Urasoe City, Okinawa Prefecture, overcame the median strip and collided with three passenger cars and iron pillars running in the opposite lane.


Due to the impact of the collision, iron pillars and signs collapsed, two passenger cars were laid underneath, and a part of the roof of a nearby building was broken.


According to police and fire departments, a boy and a woman in their thirties, who are believed to be two to three years old, were killed in the car underlay in the accident, and the driver of the dump truck became unconscious.


In addition, three men and women were injured.


The site was a straight road with two lanes on each side, and the road surface was wet due to rain at the time of the accident.


Police are rushing to confirm the identity of the deceased and are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
