On Monday, the game studio went out with a tweet and told about the hacking that is believed to have taken place this weekend.

In the tweet, they have attached a screenshot of a text document that the hacker, or hackers, left behind.

The text document states that, among other things, source code for games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Gwent and an unreleased version of Witcher 3 have been stolen.

"If we do not reach an agreement, your source code will be sold or leaked online and your documents will be sent to our contacts in gaming journalism," it says in the text document.

The game studio does not intend to negotiate with the hackers

In their statement on Twitter, CD projekt red writes that they do not intend to give in to any demands from the hacker, or the hackers.

They also write that no data about their players or users of their system seems to have been stolen.

They have informed the judiciary and contacted IT detectives to continue investigating the incident.

Cyberpunk 2077 - a launch fraught with problems

It has been a few turbulent months for CD project red.

At the end of last year, Cyberpunk 2077 was released, the most anticipated game of the year.

But it turned out to have technical problems and bugs on Playstation 4 and Xbox one.

The game was withdrawn from Playstation's digital store and the game studio offered the money back to those who were dissatisfied.

Updates have fixed some of the game's issues, but there has also been controversy surrounding Keanu Reeves playing a character in the game.

Reeves 'character has sex with a prostitute (a scene played from his first-person perspective), but through a modification, it was possible to insert Keanu Reeves' body on the prostitute instead.

The game studio asked people to stop sleeping with Keanu Reeves' character, but eventually had to remove the modification.

The technical problems with the game have led to many being disappointed and angry about the latest game.

On social media, some say that it is right for the game studio to be hacked, but most think that this is going over the limit.
