On the 8th, in the accident where a submarine of the Maritime Self-Defense Force collided with a cargo ship off the coast of Kochi Prefecture, the Japan Transport Safety Board dispatched an investigator to check the damage status of the submarine and conduct investigations such as hearing from the crew. I'm starting.

Three investigators from the Japan Transport Safety Board arrived at the Kochi Maritime Security Department at Kochi Port before 9 am on the 10th.

The submarine "Soryu" has been moored offshore near Kochi Port since the 8th, and after the meeting, the investigators boarded the SDF boat and headed for the submarine before 11:00 am.

After checking the condition of the hull from the outside, I boarded the submarine.

In addition to investigating the damage status of the submarine, the Japan Transport Safety Board will investigate the detailed cause by listening to the crew about the situation at the time of the accident.
