Who to take the head of Sciences Po?

The Ministry of Higher Education and Research appointed Bénédicte Durand on Wednesday as "provisional administrator of the IEP", until the appointment of a new director, we can read in a press release.

The one who was until then director of initial training will take the place of Frédéric Mion, who announced his resignation on Tuesday evening via a letter to teachers and students.

This departure comes as students from the Institut d'études politiques (IEP) on rue Saint-Guillaume criticized their director for having denied being aware of Olivier Duhamel's actions.

A fact-finding mission to establish "possible flaws"

The political scientist, resigned president of the National Foundation of Political Sciences (FNSP), which oversees Sciences Po, is accused by his stepdaughter, Camille Kouchner, of having raped his twin brother when he was a teenager.

"The Minister wishes to thank Frédéric Mion for the work accomplished over the past eight years and for the important reforms he has accomplished in the service of the establishment's national and international influence", writes the ministry.

An investigation should also allow "to establish the chronology of the facts, the responsibility of each one and the possible flaws in the organization of governance".
