Yamaguchi Prefecture announced that 13 men and women in their 20s to 90s living in Iwakuni City and Tabuse Town have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in Yamaguchi Prefecture to 1,323.
In addition, a man in his 80s and a woman in his 90s who had been hospitalized at a medical institution in the prefecture died after being infected with the new coronavirus, resulting in a total of 30 infected people dying in the prefecture.
