On February 8, the new Luoxi Bridge, which was constructed for two years and seven months, was opened to traffic and the old bridge was converted into traffic.
After the completion of the project, the traffic bottleneck on the north-south channel of Luoxi Bridge will be opened up, and the economic development of the areas along the route will be promoted.
Luoxi Bridge was built in 1984. It is an important river-crossing channel connecting Haizhu District and Panyu District, and one of the landmark bridges on the main channel of the Pearl River.
After opening to traffic, the travel time from Panyu, Guangzhou to Haizhu has been shortened, alleviating the traffic pressure between the two places.
After the new bridge is opened to traffic, the 2km Luoxi Bridge can be passed in 3 minutes.
