Dubai Islamic Bank and three other donors have guaranteed payment of 300,000 dirhams, the amount of the financial case arising from citizenship (Maryam M.), as the bank guaranteed payment of 100,000 dirhams, while a donor paid 100,000 dirhams, and a donation paid 80,000, and the last donor paid 20 thousand .

The “hotline” coordinated between the bank’s management, the donors, and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, to transfer the donation amount to the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi.

The citizen (Maryam M.) said: “I did not expect to pay the amount of the financial case owed by me, and I was afraid because of a circular issued against me, until I received the phone call from the (Hotline) staff in the (Emirates Today) newspaper, and they informed me that the donors would pay the amount of the case. I was overwhelmed with happiness, especially since I was pregnant and about to give birth, and the circular issued against me worried me that I would be behind bars at any time. ”

She added, "I thank the donors and the management of Dubai Islamic Bank for helping me pay the amount of the case, and this solidarity is not strange for institutions and individuals in supporting humanitarian cases, as their generous donation made me live a life away from anxiety and fear of entering prison, while I am at the beginning of my married life."

She stated that eight years ago she bought a vehicle from a person for 200,000 dirhams, and paid 15,000 of its value, and the rest was made with it, but he returned and asked her to exchange the check, under the pretext that there was a mistake, so she wrote another time related to the value of the vehicle, then returned after A period of time and he asked to replace the check on the pretext that it was wrong, so she wrote him a third check in good faith, and she did not ask him to recover the checks at that time, and after a while, I was surprised that he had filed a financial case against her demanding that she pay the amount of checks in his possession, in the amount of 400 thousand dirhams, despite paying the vehicle amount.

And indicated that «she was sentenced last year to the circular, and obligated to pay the amount, and lived a year in fear and terror of being imprisoned.

She added: “I have been working in a private sector company for seven years, but then my services were terminated last year, and after that I could not search for work, because there was a circular on me, so I thank everyone who contributed to my assistance, and I thank (Faraj Fund) for its efforts. To make a settlement with the creditor and reduce the amount from 400 to 300 thousand dirhams.

Last year, "Maryam" was sentenced to a circular and obligated her to pay the amount.
