Hospital pressure linked to the new coronavirus epidemic remains strong in France, according to data from Public Health France published this Saturday at the end of the day, even if it has marked a slight decline.
The number of people hospitalized throughout France now stands at 27,327 patients, or 1,126 new admissions in twenty-four hours.
Among these hospitalized people, 3,215 serious cases are treated in the intensive care units (-20 compared to the day before).
Services which have identified 168 new admissions in the last 24 hours (112 the day before).
In previous waves, the number of patients in sheaves reached 7,000 in the spring and 4,900 in the fall.
Public Health France also takes stock of vaccination and, this Saturday evening, 1,864,932 million people received at least a first dose of vaccine, or 92,000 more than the day before.
And 247,260 people have received the two injections since the start of the vaccination campaign.

Note that the number of contaminations (20,586) is down compared to Friday (22,139), but remains on a high plateau "fluctuating between 20,000 and 26,000 since January", according to Public Health France.
The positivity rate [positive people compared to all those tested] was 6.6% on Saturday, stable compared to the day before, and down compared to seven days previously (6.9 %).
Finally, in the last twenty-four hours, 191 people have been taken away by the Covid-19 in hospital (293 the day before).
This brings the total of deaths in France since the start of the epidemic to 78,794.
