Presenters, comedians, sportsmen… The documentary examines the multiple destinies of these tandems, as colorful as they are iconic, through the ages.

They have fascinated millions of French people for decades, with their hilarious bond, their impressive complementarity or their overflowing charisma.

From Guy Lux and Léon Zitrone to Pascal Bataille and Laurent Fontaine, via Kad and Olivier or Véronique and Davina, the documentary reviews all eras, from the 1960s to the 2000s.

But where does this interest in duets come from?

"A duet is a bit like a couple. And in a couple, there are always stories", answers the director of the documentary, Christophe David.

"People - and me the first - like that we tell stories, especially stories of colorful people, with the secrets of an alchemy. Sometimes we have the impression of seeing two people who do not make one and offer us a show. "

Egos, different desires ... 

In this documentary, broadcast Friday evening at 9:05 pm, the authors are interested in the sustainability of these duets.

"What is funny is to see if it lasted or not. Some did not last very long, but the protagonists stayed very close. Others got away a little because they didn't want to anymore. the same things at the same time or because egos were taking over. These are different stories each time, "says Christophe David.

The documentary promises testimonials from the main stakeholders, but also from media experts on this phenomenon and its evolution over the decades.
