Throughout this year's Melodifestival, Christer Björkman is the host together with well-known artists and actors.
In the first part of the competition, he is joined by Lena Philipsson.
But that was not the intention from the beginning.
Philipsson would actually be joined by Danny Saucedo.
Everything was booked and ready - but then Saucedo changed.
- We had a first content meeting and he said that if I should still be here, I might as well compete as well.
So I had to take another role and ask what kind of song do you have then?
says Christer Björkman.
Will sing old song
The production mostly thought it was fun that Saucedo was now ready to be on the middle stage again.
So the plans were changed and it ended with Lena Philipsson now having to shoulder the role of host herself.
But as is usually the case at the Melodifestivalen, she will not just talk.
She will also be in charge of the midnight during the competition on Saturday.
What should you do?
- I'll sing a little.
Even if there is no audience, it looks like a normal Melodifestival in many ways.
It's the contestants, it's the program management and then there will be a couple of intermissions, says Lena Philipsson.
What are you going to sing?
- I will sing a new and an old.
Is it a song that has been in the Melodifestivalen before?
- Yes, we'll see.
We are not going to reveal too much now.
Has a microphone stand been included?
- I'm not going to reveal.
But I have some famous old songs and one of them is.
Will not be as usual
Even though the audience will largely recognize themselves when they turn on the TV on Saturday night, there are still some who will be different when the audience is missing.
- It will be a period of habituation for the viewers.
They have a picture in their head of what it should look like and it will not be.
It will be something else, says Christer Björkman.
He continues:
- The competition is in full swing.
They drive on.
So I would say that it is roughly about as it usually is but with a little more nuance.
We can have a conversation sometimes.
There is a bit more dramaturgical arc in the program.
