In a survey conducted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on citizens, the number of people who answered that their lifestyle became "difficult" turned to increase for the first time in 6 years, and the economic impact of the spread of the new coronavirus infection in the city was a factor. Isn't it?

Every year, the city conducts a survey asking the citizens of their daily lives and what they want from the city administration.

This time, we targeted 4000 people from September to October last year, and received responses from 2273 people, which is 56.8%.

Among them, 33.1% of the respondents answered that they were "suffering" about "living style", an increase of 9.4 percentage points from the previous survey.

It had been decreasing until the last time, but it started to increase for the first time in 6 years.

Those who answered "no change" decreased by 11.4 percentage points to 59.3%, and "easy" increased by 0.3 percentage points to 3.7%.

When asking the people who answered "I'm having a hard time" with multiple answers, 55.6% chose "Salary or profit did not increase or decreased due to poor sales".

In addition, when asked with multiple answers about "measures that I would like you to focus on," "medical and hygiene measures" increased by 5.9 points to 43.8%.

The capital says, "I think the economic impact of the spread of the new coronavirus infection is affecting our lives. We would like to make use of the survey results in the administration of the city."
