The judge at the standby court had rejected the application for an arrest warrant because of doubts about the urgent suspicion and because there were no grounds for detention, the public prosecutor announced on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman said in the morning no details about the identity of the inmates, but according to the “Berliner Morgenpost”, which refers to police circles, the inmates are said to have a “clan connection” and come from Neukölln.

The crashed vehicle is a rental car from a Neukölln car rental company.
