Snow clouds created in the West Sea approach Korea at a speed of 30 km/h, and snow is flying all over the northern part of Gyeonggi Province.
The Meteorological Administration predicted that snow will start in earnest in the western metropolitan area and Chungnam area around 6 pm, and snow will fall in the central region, Jeonbuk and Gyeongbuk at night.
There is a possibility of very strong snow pouring in the metropolitan area, especially around 9pm.
Heavy snow warnings were issued in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do at 7 pm, and heavy snow warnings are being issued in Gangwon, Chungcheong, and northern Gyeongbuk.
By tomorrow, heavy snowfall of up to 15cm is expected in East Gyeonggi and Gangwon-do.
In the mountainous regions of Seoul, western Gyeonggi Province, northern Chungcheong, and northeastern Gyeongbuk, a lot of snow of 3 to 10 cm was forecast.
In addition, it is expected that 1~5cm of snow will fall in southern Chungcheong, Honam, Gyeongbuk, and western Gyeongnam, and about 1cm in the east coast.
The snow will gradually stop tomorrow morning.
The visibility will be very short due to the falling snow, and the temperature will drop below freezing during the night, and road freezing is a concern.
Seoul Metropolitan Government also announced that it has issued a second stage to respond to snow removal, as it is expected to have a riot on the way home from work, and that 1,000 units of equipment such as snowplows were put in together with 8,000 people.
