The Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam and several officials visited the "restricted area" of Sham Shui Po late that night and talked with residents.

The forced inspection of the three "closed areas" was completed on the morning of the 3rd.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has set up a "restricted area" in Sham Shui Po starting at 7 pm on February 2. People in 17 buildings within the area must stay in their premises and undergo mandatory testing.

  Carrie Lam, Director of the Bureau of Food and Health Chen Zhaoshi, Director of the Bureau of Environment Huang Jinxing, and Director of the Bureau of Civil Affairs Xu Yingwei and his party visited the "restricted area" of Sham Shui Po at about 23:00 on the evening of the 2nd.

Carrie Lam inspected the scene for about ten minutes that night, and talked with residents during the inspection.

  On the evening of the 2nd, the SAR government set up temporary sampling stations in three "restricted areas" and asked the subjects to go to the sampling stations to receive combined swab samples from the nose and throat and testing for the new coronavirus.

Compulsory testing operations in Sham Shui Po, Jordan and Tin Shui Wai were completed at about 7:00, about 7:30, and about 7:00 on the 3rd, respectively. Residents who have undergone testing in the area can show negative test results via SMS or wear hands To prove that they have accepted the mandatory inspection, they can leave the "restricted area" through the designated exit from the above time.

  As of 2 a.m. on the 3rd, about 1,600 residents in the "restricted area" of Sham Shui Po were examined, and no confirmed cases were found; as of 0 a.m. on the 3rd, more than 300 residents in the "restricted area" of Jordan have been examined. The test results of some samples are still being verified; as of 2 a.m. on the 3rd, about 270 residents in the "restricted area" of Tin Shui Wai were tested, and no confirmed cases were found.

  Since January 23, Hong Kong has so far carried out 11 "closed zone" enforcement actions.
