Four police officers from the BAC (Anti-Crime Brigade) of Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), intervened late Tuesday afternoon, to rescue a 15-year-old girl who had just thrown herself into the Adour in flood, said Wednesday the national police.

"The four police officers did not hesitate to risk their lives to rescue her [...] while the river was raging" because of bad weather ", assures the official account of the Pyrenees-Atlantiques police on Twitter.

“After fifteen minutes of struggle and the help of the firefighters, they were able to come out unharmed.

They were all the same transported to the hospital center of the Basque Coast, as well as the young girl who had sought to end her life.
