The month of February does not bring us any respite on the rainy side.

After a mostly gray and wet weekend, 25 departments are placed on orange vigilance for rain-floods or floods on Monday, according to Météo-France.

In fact, significant floods are to be feared in the north of the country, as well as in the southwest and the central massif associated with heavy rains continuing until this evening.

On the Massif Central and more particularly Aveyron, Cantal, Corrèze and Puy-de-Dôme placed in orange vigilance, the rains will remain sustained until the end of the day, this Monday.

The rain / snow limit will remain at 1,600 / 1,700 m.

The snowmelt will add to the rains, at least below 1,000 / 1,200 m.

Locally, accumulations in 24 hours of 50 to 80 mm are expected, locally 70 to 100 mm, in particular in Cantal.

According to the France Météo report of 6 hours on Monday, the sustained precipitation will continue like this until the end of the day.

The rain / snow limit remains around 1600/1700 m.

A little melt will be added to the rains, at least below 1000/1200 m.

And for the rest of the country?

The weather will remain cloudy and often rainy over much of the country.

Only the Mediterranean regions will benefit from drier weather with a few possible drops, under a very hazy sky.

Over the rest of the country, the sky will be heavy throughout the day, with light rains or drizzle in the north and northeast, and more continuous rains elsewhere, especially in the morning.

After a relative calm in the afternoon, a new disturbance will be announced over the west at the end of the day, bringing new rains during the night.

It will snow in large quantities above 1,500 m in general during the day, then 2,000 m in the evening with the new disturbance.

The wind will blow strongly on the south and the west with gusts close to 80 km / h in the interior, 90 to 100 km / h or even more on the relief and the coast.

Minimum temperatures will vary between three and six degrees in the north and northeast, seven to 11 elsewhere.
