The rise of on-site nucleic acid testing services

"Ah-yes, open your mouth, don't be afraid." On January 30, a nucleic acid sampling worker in protective clothing was collecting a throat swab for a woman in a community in Chengdu, Sichuan.

Not long ago, this lady placed an order on Weimai, an Internet medical and health platform, and booked a nucleic acid test on-site service.

After sampling, the staff told her: "Later that day, you can view the online test report on your mobile phone."

Recently, on-site services for nucleic acid testing have emerged.

Internet platforms such as Alipay, Dingdong Kuaiyao, and Weimai have launched on-site nucleic acid testing services, allowing users to complete the test without leaving home.

The user clicks "appointment", fills in the door-to-door address and time, and after the customer service phone confirms, the professional will wear protective clothing for door-to-door sampling.

Weimai founder Qiu Jialin said that Weimai cooperated with third-party testing agencies to launch nucleic acid testing on-site services, including two modes of group and individual appointments. The services have covered 40 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Hangzhou.

In addition to online platforms, many hospitals have also launched on-site nucleic acid testing services.

Recently, the Guangdong Zhuhai Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital issued an announcement that it will introduce service measures such as on-site testing by corporate groups and appointments by time.

If the number of nucleic acid samples collected is 100 or more, you can contact the hospital for on-site nucleic acid testing services.
