Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 1st that it was confirmed that 30 new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
The prefecture also announced that a man in his 70s, who had previously been confirmed to be infected, had died.
The number of people confirmed to be infected in Nara Prefecture was 2,999, and the number of people who died was 39.
