In an attempt to utilize the wild boar that had been exterminated in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture, in order to prevent the crops from being damaged, university students developed a new canned curry using wild boar and started selling it on campus from the 1st.

This canned curry was developed by a group of seminars in the third grade of Ryukoku University in an attempt to make effective use of the exterminated wild boar, and 30 pieces were lined up at the university co-op on the 1st.

Based on the funds raised by crowdfunding, the students thought about the ingredients and seasonings from the beginning and developed it over 5 months.

In order to remove the unique hardness and odor, wild boar meat was soaked in salted koji and then cooked with potatoes and onions from Kyotango City to create a mellow and rich taste.

Each canned food costs 700 yen, and we saw some people buying it after carefully deciding what to buy.

This canned food will be sold in the market in Kyotango City in the future.

Professor Kanako Imazato of Ryukoku University, who provided the guidance, said, "We were able to develop with the support of many people based on the concept of utilizing what is thrown away."

Aoi Kumagai, a third-year project leader, said, "I want you to enjoy the taste of curry and see the display of" Kyotangosan "on the can to get interested in the area."
