The Writers Union mourns the Emirati writer Obaid Twerish

The Emirates Writers and Writers Union mourned the writer and journalist Obaid Sultan Twersh, a member of the union and one of the most important founders of journalistic history in the Emirates, who died to the mercy of God Almighty on Saturday, and the Emirati cultural scene lost one of the prominent and founding media professionals in the Emirati press march, in addition to his early work in public affairs Through his membership in a number of UAE national bodies and institutions, including the Emirates Writers and Authors Union, of which he has been a member since 1986.

The Secretary General, Salha Ghabish, expressed her sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and to all Emirati writers and writers on the departure of Obaid Twerish, stressing that he was a model for the intellectual who combined high creativity, professional ethics and high personality, so his departure today constitutes a painful event by all standards, and a loss to the cultural and journalistic arenas.
