Nicolas Bedos has decided to slam the door of social networks.
In a message posted on Instagram and Twitter on Saturday, the actor and director explained his choice.
“For several months now, all to the sorrow of my parents' death, social networks have served as a fallow garden for my personal resentment and impulsive anger, offering me a more or less effective platform in the face of the scourge of political correctness which is very threatening. seriously our non-essential arts and the freedom of expression so dear to my ancestors ”, he underlines.
I decided to quit social media in order to devote myself exclusively to my work.
He alone will henceforth be authorized to express the look that I pose on our society, our astonishment and our doubts ”, he continues before adding:“ I tasted this violence and I hated it ”.
Last September, one of his publications had indeed caused a controversy.
Nicolas Bedos had spoken out in favor of collective disobedience to health measures, attracting strong reactions, especially among members of the government.
The Minister of Health Olivier Véran responded in person to the French actor and director before the Senate commission of inquiry.
