Regulated electricity sales prices will increase by 1.6% in France from February 1, or 15 euros per year on average, the government confirmed on Friday.

The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) had proposed an increase of 1.6%, all taxes included, in “blue” residential tariffs.

Professional blue tariffs will increase by 2.6%.

Gas

The regulated gas tariffs applied by Engie will increase by 3.5% on average on February 1.

Tobacco

Another rise for smokers.

The prices of the packs of Camel (without filter, silver, blue) and News Fortuna red will increase by ten cents and go from 10.20 euros to 10.30 euros and from 9.90 euros to 10 euros.

On the other hand, some packages will drop.

This is the case of the Lucky Strike red, blue, gold and ice brands which will cost 9.90 euros instead of 10 euros.

Highways

Motorway toll prices will increase by an average of 0.44% on February 1, 2021, according to dealers at the Road Network Users Committee.

The increases should range between 0.30% and 0.65% for the most important networks.

Taxis

From February 1, the prices of taxi rides will increase.

The minimum fare for a trip goes from 7.10 euros to 7.30 euros for all taxis in France.

Regulated taxi fares now cap customer care at 4.18 euros, the kilometer at 1.12 euros, the hourly price in the event of waiting after the customer has booked and in the event of slow walking at 37, 46 euros.

Restaurant tickets 2020

The 2020 meal vouchers, which were to expire in February 2021, remain valid until September 2021 due to the health crisis.

The daily limit remains doubled at 38 euros.

Bikers

From February 1, two-wheelers will no longer be allowed to travel in inter-lanes.

A "psy check" for students

From February 1, the “psy check” for students, announced on January 21 by Emmanuel Macron, comes into force.
