Once someone got the bait, the criminal suspect would sexually lure the victim, using naked chat as an excuse , To induce the victim to download Trojan horse software to steal mobile phone address book information.
When the victim downloads the software, the suspect will ask to have a naked video chat with the victim. The naked chat videos sent by the other party are just some pornographic videos downloaded before.
In this process, the criminal suspect will step by step to induce the victim to show his face and undress, and then take screenshots or record indecent videos of the victim to blackmail him.
In order to evade police investigation, the gang transferred the money involved in the case abroad, and then from abroad to the country, in order to "launder".
From January 19 to 21, 2021, the anti-fraud crackdown team, together with the Sanlin Public Security Department, Hangtou Police Station and related units, arrested 33 suspects including Wu in Enshi, Hubei and Guangzhou, Guangdong.
29 mobile phones and 26 bank cards involved were seized at the scene.
The accumulated transfer amount is more than 10 million yuan.
At present, 28 suspects including Wu have been detained under criminal detention, and another 5 suspects have been released on bail due to pregnancy and other reasons.
