The Narita Airport Company has announced a policy to establish a system for prompt transportation of the new coronavirus vaccine in cooperation with airlines and transportation companies.

Vaccines for the new coronavirus are to be supplied by overseas pharmaceutical companies, but some vaccines are being transported in an ultra-low temperature state, and building a transportation system is an issue.

Under these circumstances, President Akihiko Tamura of Narita Airport Corporation set up an in-house vaccine transportation support team at a press conference on the 29th, and cooperated with domestic and overseas airlines and transportation companies to deliver vaccines arriving from overseas. We have announced a policy to establish a system for prompt transportation to all parts of the country.

The support team will consider giving priority to moving aircraft and trucks that transport vaccines at Narita Airport.

President Tamura said, "Vaccines need to be shipped nationwide promptly, so I would like to make all possible preparations so that I will not get stuck at the airport."
