On the night of the 29th, a fire broke out in Mitsue Village, Nara Prefecture, killing two suspected elderly couples.

Around 6:30 pm on the 29th, there was a fire in a wooden one-story house at Kozue, Mitsue Village, Nara Prefecture.



Fifteen fire trucks and other vehicles went out to extinguish the fire, and the fire was extinguished after about two and a half hours, but the house was completely destroyed.



According to police, Toshio Furuya (72) and his wife Makiko (66) lived in this house, and Toshio was found lying down in the house and was taken to the hospital. However, death was soon confirmed.



In addition, the body of one person was found in the burnt remains, and police are investigating the cause of the fire while confirming the identity of Makiko, who has been unable to contact after the fire.



The site is a mountain village about 3 km east of the Mitsue Village Hall.
