[Explanation] From January 24 to 29, the two sessions of Guizhou Province were held in Guiyang. During the meeting, how to balance the relationship between the protection of the "China Sky Eye" (FAST) and tourism development, and relying on the international influence of the "China Sky Eye" to further promote astronomy Topics such as science and technology, popularization of astronomy, and the development of astronomical tourism were discussed by representatives of the Guizhou Provincial People’s Congress and CPPCC members.

[Explanation] The 500-meter spherical radio telescope (FAST), known as "China's Sky Eye", is the world's largest single-aperture radio telescope independently designed and built by China. It was held in Kedu, Pingtang County, Guizhou Province on September 25, 2016. The town was completed and put into use. On the same day, the China Sky Eye Scenic Spot, the main "Astronomy Science Research and Study Tour", opened to welcome guests, and it gradually heated up in Guizhou.

(I think) China Sky Eye, our research on astronomy, astronomical science, and astronomical tourism will be a new hot spot.

Of course, from our perspective, we want to use this rare and precious resource. In recent years, our Association for Science and Technology has received many foreign and overseas youths, teachers, students and other teams. Our Association for Science and Technology has this non-governmental exchange of science and technology. This aspect is A good opportunity for us to cherish and take advantage of.

[Explanation] Pingtang County, Guizhou Province, is known as the "City of Chinese Sky Eyes" due to the settlement of Chinese Sky Eyes.

Zang Kan, deputy to the People’s Congress of Guizhou Province and Secretary of the Pingtang County Party Committee, also stated in an interview that China’s Sky Eye has played a strong role in promoting local economic and social development after its settlement in Pingtang. There are 95 restaurants, 28 hotels, and 113 hotels in Kedu Town, which will drive more than 1,200 local people to work. By 2020, the town will be alleviated from poverty.

Combining this popular science tourism with astronomy can be said to be a very important opportunity for Pingtang. Many people care about whether your tourism will affect the observation of large radio. In fact, after so many years of development, they have not discovered, It has happened because tourism affects the observation of large radio. Our development is different from other places. For example, other places attract more tourists, the better. Our place does not win by quantity, and we do not charge tickets. .

[Explanation] In Zang Kan's view, tourism development drives local economic development and the protection of the "Chinese Sky Eye" can be organically integrated. In this regard, the local government and the National Observatory have reached a high degree of consensus.

[Concurrent] Zang Kan, deputy of the People's Congress of Guizhou Province and Secretary of the Pingtang County Party Committee

For Pingtang, the most important thing is to protect the safe operation of China's Sky Eye. Under this premise, seek reasonable scientific development in the protection.

Therefore, from this perspective, we must reform, make breakthroughs, and explore on the path of traditional tourism industry development.

We are also actively exploring some new tourism products of the astronomy science popularization base, so that China Sky Eye can better explore and understand for astronomy enthusiasts and science enthusiasts, and provide some reasonable and orderly use platforms. The radio site cooperated to launch some activities and projects to further enhance the attractiveness of Tianyan, a popular science tourism.

[Explanation] A few days ago, Guizhou issued the "Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Tourism, Accelerating the Industrialization of Tourism and Building a Colorful Guizhou Tourism Province". According to the "Opinions", Guizhou will rely on China's Tianyan Science Base to build Guiyang-Huishui-Luodian -Pingtang International Astronomy Popular Science Tourism Belt.

The National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences also revealed that the "China Sky Eye" will be officially opened to the global scientific community on April 1, 2021, soliciting observation applications from global scientists.

[Explanation] Luo Yihong, a researcher at the Institute of Regional Economics, Guizhou Academy of Social Sciences, believes that under the premise of protecting scientific research, the article "Astronomical Science Tourism" can be done well.

In his view, the opening of China's Sky Eye to the global scientific community and the creation of the "Astronomy Popular Science Tourism Belt" are of great significance to improving China's opening-up level, technological competitiveness, and Guizhou's "going out and inviting in".

The data we observe from radio telescopes, we need to mine, analyze, and organize the data to become scientific research results. For the next step, we believe that FAST must give full play to its functions. The first is how To play its scientific and technological functions is to improve our country’s comprehensive competitiveness in the development of our universe exploration and astronomy. The second aspect is to do a better job in the industry around FAST. This article on astronomical science tourism, for example, we can hold the annual radio astronomy conference, the conference of scientists, etc., which are very helpful for us. For Guizhou, it is actually A very good opportunity for us to open up to the outside world has greatly promoted our going out and invited in.
