Today (29th), a cold wave came along with the strong wind of the typhoon class.
Usually, if the maximum instantaneous wind speed is more than 17m per second, it is classified as a typhoon, but there are still fierce gusts of 16m per second in Jeju and 15m per second in Sinan, Jeollanam-do.
Today, this fierce wind will continue until the afternoon. With strong wind warnings issued in most parts of the country, the maximum instantaneous wind speed is expected to be very strong, with a maximum instantaneous wind speed of more than 25m per second in the coastal, mountainous and Jeju areas.
This is enough for the signboard to fly away, so we need to prepare in advance.
Meanwhile, the morning cold came again amid this strong wind, and the current temperature in Seoul is around -11 degrees Celsius, and due to the cold wind, the sensory temperature is near -20 degrees Celsius.
In this cold wave today, 1~5cm of snow will fall and accumulate around the west coast until the morning, and the daytime temperature will also be cold as Seoul stays at -4 degrees below freezing all day.
Fortunately, this cold wave is expected to ease with a warm western wind tomorrow.
