Every Spring Festival, China will have a large-scale "hometown" migration.

However, after decades of urbanization, the Chinese people’s hometown is not the old house in people’s impression, but a brand new modern community comparable to a big city.

At the same time, compared with first- and second-tier cities, housing prices that are more affordable, taking care of elderly parents, hometown complex and other factors and needs, this new era of "hometown" has attracted many young people to return to their hometowns for employment and home ownership, looking for their own Happiness.

Before the Spring Festival, Wang Yubin, who had worked hard in Guangzhou, and his wife and children moved into their new home in Tianchen Bay, Country Garden, Lianzhou, Guangdong.

The reporter saw that the residential garden, swimming pool, children's amusement park and other supporting facilities have been completed, the green grass is full, and the parking spaces are full of cars.

Wang Yubin said that like many classmates and friends around him, he chose to go to Guangzhou when he just graduated from university.

After working for 5 years, Wang Yubin and his childhood sweetheart Guan Haiyan were planning to get married. He began to consider whether to stay in Guangzhou to work or return to Lianzhou to settle.

Guan Haiyan has always worked in Lianzhou. The two have worked and lived in different places for many years. Considering the housing prices in Guangzhou, the life of the married couple and the future education of their children, and taking care of parents at home, they decided to return to Lianzhou to settle.

Unlike Wang Yubin, who started his family and went back to his hometown, Feng Xiansen, a native of Yangshan County, Guangdong Province, who loves music, returned to his hometown because he took care of his relatives.

Feng Xiansen and his wife had both worked in Foshan before. Although he had three older brothers, they all worked in other places like him. Yangshan only left three elderly people—parents and grandma.

As the youngest son in the family, in 2009 he decided to return to Yangshan to take care of the three elderly people and live with them in Yangjiang Real Estate.

Why have many young people favored returning home for employment and home ownership in recent years?

Industry insiders analyzed that in addition to their own needs, the construction and development of third- and fourth-tier cities has accelerated, and the increase in urban value is also an important reason for attracting migrant workers to return to their hometowns to buy properties.

For Guangdong Qingyuan, its urban environment, transportation and living facilities have been steadily improved in recent years. For example, Lianzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital recently opened near Tianchen Bay, and Lianzhou will also introduce high-speed rail in the next three years.

In addition, the opening of Guanglian Expressway has greatly shortened its distance from the core cities of the Pearl River Delta, and the planning of Lianzhou Airport, one of the major projects in Guangdong, has made returnees more confident in the changes in their hometowns.

Wang Yubin previously worked in electronic information engineering in Guangzhou. Originally, he was worried that he could not find a suitable job when he returned to Lianzhou, but he found a similar job nearby after moving into his new home.

After Feng Xiansen returned to Yangshan, he actively tried to start a business. At the beginning, he was engaged in the wholesale business of ceramic tiles and building materials.

At present, he has opened a gourmet restaurant near Yangshan Nanyang Middle School.

Recently, the reporter saw in the real estate sales center of Wang Yubin's home district that it was crowded with people and it was a lively scene.

Sales director Cheng Chaomei said that during the Spring Festival and Ching Ming Festival, a large number of young customers who returned home from Guangzhou and Shenzhen came to register and consult, and in the new buildings in Country Garden in Lianzhou and Yangshan, more than 70 customers were sold. % Are locals or locals returning home.

According to the population statistics of Qingyuan City, in recent years (2016-2019), the number of people who have moved into Qingyuan has exceeded the number of people who have moved out.

Among them, the number of registered population in Qingyuan City at the end of 2019 was 4.461 million, an increase of 31,500 compared with 2018.

The migration of local rural population to cities, the return of migrant workers to work in their hometowns, and the employment and entrepreneurship of foreigners in Qingyuan are gradually becoming a new trend in the local area.
