In response to this, Wakayama Prefecture began slaughtering all 290 pigs raised in this pig farm after 9 am.

Prior to this, the prefecture held a meeting of the countermeasures headquarters to slaughter and disinfect the facilities at this pig farm, while since the pig farms in the prefecture have already been vaccinated, shipping and moving to the surrounding pig farms.
