Under this system, you will be able to take a total of four weeks off in two separate sessions within eight weeks of your child's birth.



You can take childcare leave up to four times, including two times immediately after childbirth, so that you can continue to take childcare after that.



From April next year, large companies will be required to announce the rate of employees taking childcare leave.



The rate of male employees taking childcare leave was only 7.48% as of October, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare plans to work on improving the environment, such as disseminating the new system.
