and his wife, choreographer Emma Portner announced their divorce in a joint statement.
“After careful consideration, we made the difficult decision to divorce after our separation last summer.
We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends, ”they write.
The actor, nominated for an Oscar for his performance in the film
Juno
, had been married to Emma Portner for three years.
Elliot Page filed official divorce papers on Tuesday at the New York Supreme Court.
