This Tuesday, a year after the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, Vanessa Bryant, the athlete's wife and mother of the teenager made a point of posting a message on Instagram to mark this sad anniversary.
The 38-year-old mom, who now takes care of the three other daughters of Lakers legend Natalia, Bianka and Capri on her own, notably shared the letter written by Gianna's friend Aubrey, who recalled the positive impact that the young girl had had on everyone around her.
“I feel so blessed to have had the chance to spend time with the angel that was your daughter.
Thank you for giving me this chance.
I love you and I think of you as we remember her and honor her memory, ”the young girl wrote.

Vanessa Bryant, who reveals that she was so moved by the words of her daughter's friend that she asked her permission to publish her letter, also reveals how she feels on this difficult day.
“My Gigi was AMAZING and I really appreciate your thoughtful letter.
She loved you so much (…) I miss my little girl and Kob-Kob so much too.
I will never understand why / how this tragedy could have happened to such beautiful, kind and amazing human beings.
It still doesn't seem real.

Kobe and Gianna Bryant died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. On January 26, 2020. Seven other people died in the crash.
