The number of hospitalized coronavirus patients continued to increase on Wednesday, with more than 27,000 patients in hospital, including more than 3,100 in intensive care, a figure also on the rise, according to the government site.

Hospitals counted 27,169 people sick with Covid-19 on Wednesday (+128 compared to the previous day), including 1,931 new hospitalizations in twenty-four hours, according to data published on the government site.

More than 300 new admissions in shifts

The number of patients in intensive care and intensive care is 3,107 (+26), with 318 new admissions in twenty-four hours.

With 351 new deaths in hospital in twenty-four hours, the disease has now killed 74,456 people, including 52,218 in hospital, since the start of the epidemic, according to Public Health France.

The number of contaminations is also on the rise, with 26,916 new confirmed cases, against a little more than 22,000 the day before.

The positivity rate of people tested has been stable for several days, at 7.1%, according to Public Health France.

All the usual figures communicated by Public Health France were not available Wednesday evening.
