With her new novel “The Perfect Child”, Vanessa Bamberger describes through Roxane's life, the pangs of adolescence today and the pressure they face on a daily basis.

Publicity

It is the story of a teenage girl almost like any other.

A high school student in first year in a Parisian high school of excellence.

Divorced parents who are rather absent but who love him, a real bond with his best friends, a boyfriend no worse than another.

And enormous pressure.

Pressure of academic success erected as a mantra, pressure of popularity and reputation on social networks, pressure of image and appearance too.

What to give buttons to a child dedicated to perfection.

It is also an acne attack which will precipitate the drama.

Because the tragedy dies from the first pages of this lucid and moving novel, which, between the bass sounds of a viola, the muffled sounds of a beating heart, and the acid punchlines of rappers and, ends up resounding like the shrill cry of an alarm signal.
