When in my other column I applauded the womanhood for having bought, as men have done for centuries,

a piece of male meat just to enjoy it

, they fell from all sides.

The piece of meat was the Turk Can Yaman, star of Turkish soap operas, and my argument said that

it was time for the ladies to look at the screen and say "well I was fucking it"

just for the sheer pleasure of saying and thinking about it .

I was not too surprised that part of the fanatic seraglio attacked me ipso facto for having downgraded the actor to the category of sex toy.

If he was a very intelligent and very good person and a doctor, they told me.

As if the one and the other were exclusive.

And as if the mental programming that aunts have traditionally been subjected to to sublimate their objects of desire was not shit and a scam.

And the Turkish soap operas a laugh.

The one now on about the architect and the florist is hilarious.

It comes with a low-cost Fassbender, yes.

I want to think that they are a minority who consider that

getting horny has less status than falling in love.

I want to think that we can all sit down and talk quietly about what Turkish soap operas are and what they are for.

I have not seen anything more basic in my life.

And sometimes that's just what you want and need on your TV: the basics.

Although I am afraid of the reactions of the staunch followers of the Bosphorus serials when they think that

I have never seen worse things and with more fuckable people inside.

I once visited the filming of one of these series on my own and my feeling was that of having been on the set of an expensive porn movie ... from which I was thrown when the good stuff started.

There was no actor or actress who did not want to stroke their hair (my obsession with hair is well known) or sequence that I did not see inevitably doomed to a fuck between

beings that seemed to have come out of Donatella Versace's darkest dreams

.

Dreams in which these people lecture at Harvard and lecture on haikus, of course.

While Can Yaman operates children without resources.
