Will the health crisis be right for the second consecutive year of the Easter feria in Arles?

Already canceled at the last moment in 2020, this popular festival which drains thousands of enthusiasts every year will not take place in April as planned.

"The health crisis that the country is going through does not allow us to apprehend with serenity the organization of the bullfighting event and all the associated festivities in their entirety, as it was planned, from April 2 to 5", explains in a press release the organizing company Ludi Arles organization and the town hall headed by Patrick de Carolis.

"We hope that the bars and restaurants will be open"

“In June, the weather will be nicer, warmer and more pleasant,” said arenas director Jean-Baptiste Jalabert.

We hope that the bars and restaurants will be open, because it is above all a friendly and warm party with its large tables of paella, the music that resonates in the city.

Traditionally organized at Easter, the Feria d'Arles which launches the tourist season in the town of 52,000 inhabitants located between Camargue and Provence, is attended in four days by 180,000 to 200,000 people.
