Experts judged that the Qixia Gold Mine accident in Shandong preliminarily judged that the second explosion was the main cause of the deaths of the 9 miners.

Together with the 1 miner who died on the 21st, the remains of 10 miners have all been lifted.

Chen Yumin said that at about 13:15 pm on January 10, an explosion sounded from the wellbore, accompanied by a great tremor. The signal glass at the wellhead was all shattered, and there was dense smoke from the wellhead. One and a half hours later, At around 14:45, a loud noise was heard in the shaft again, and at the same time there was a big shock wave, and a second explosion occurred.

The second explosion caused more serious damage to the wellbore facilities, and also made the wellbore debris more tightly blocked, which brought greater difficulties to the clearing work.

Judging from the locations of the 9 miners who have been killed, 5 miners were killed at about 420 meters, and 4 were killed in the third middle section, which is 500 meters. This shows that these 9 miners were killed. All of them were killed by the second explosion impact in the climbing shaft during the self-escape after an explosion, so the second explosion had a greater impact on the miners.
