Monuments: Leipzig, the Wagner monument and the problem with Hitler

Leipzig is the city of Wagner.

You can now read that on one of the usual culture brown motorway signs.

Although this is mostly a mental state.

The music city is more like the place of Bach, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Grieg.

Almost nothing is reminiscent of Wagner, who was born here on May 22, 1813 as the ninth child of the police officer Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Wagner and the baker's daughter Johanna Rosine Pätz in the inn "Zum Roten und Weißen Löwen".

Except for three Wagner monuments.
