  A spokesperson for the Chinese University of Hong Kong pointed out that the New Territories South Regional Crime Squad brought a court search warrant into the campus at night to investigate and search for evidence on a criminal case on January 11. The university immediately sought legal advice and consulted the police. At this stage, it is learned that a student of the Chinese University of Hong Kong has been arrested. As the case is under investigation, individual cases will not be commented on.

  The Chinese University of Hong Kong pointed out that at noon on the 11th of this month, about eight masked persons in black rushed to the security post of the University of Hong Kong at Exit A of the MTR University Station. They sprayed unknown white powder on the on-site security guards several times and rioted, including Pulling down iron horses, chairs, etc., the personnel involved immediately fled. As the situation was serious and security personnel were attacked, the school immediately called the police for handling.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong stated that the school will never tolerate illegal and violent incidents on campus and will do its best to assist the police in investigations.
