[Explanation] Earlier, the security post in the open space opposite the MTR station of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was damaged, and the security guards at the scene were scattered with unknown powder.

The Hong Kong police reported at the Police Headquarters of the New Territories South Region on January 26 that the police arrested 4 men aged between 19 and 22 on suspicion of "unlawful assembly" and "attack others with intent to cause failure to do certain actions". They are all Chinese and university students. One student involved is still wanted.

After in-depth investigation of the case, the police successfully targeted four Chinese men aged between 9 and 22. They were all Chinese University students. They were also detectives from the Criminal Division of the New Territories South Region and the Shatin Police District Crime Squad yesterday. A joint arrest operation was conducted and several locations were raided. Three CUHK students were arrested in Fanling, Sha Tin and Tsuen Wan. These three students are now being detained for investigation.

The fourth Chinese university student is also being wanted.

[Commentary] The police emphasized that CUHK is outside the illegal place and will never allow anyone to try to use the relatively special environment of CUHK to cover or cover up their illegal activities. If a crime occurs, the police will strictly enforce the law.

Here I appeal to the wanted Chinese University student and other perpetrators who participated in this case. I appeal to them to surrender to the police as soon as possible and cooperate with the police investigation, so as to avoid some people who care about them, including their teachers, family members or classmates. In order to protect them, they made certain actions by mistake and fell into the French net by mistake.

In addition, I want to point out here that the Chinese University is not a place outside the law. Our police will absolutely not allow anyone to try to use the special environment of the Chinese University to cover up and cover up their illegal activities.
