The court dispute related to the sexual violence accusation campaign'me too' against actor Cho Jae-hyun (56) was virtually ended.

On the 8th, the 17th Division of the Civil Agreement of the Seoul Central District Court (Deputy Judge Lee Sang-ju) ruled that the plaintiff lost the lawsuit for damages filed by Mr. A against Jo.

According to Mr. Cho's legal representative, the 25th was the deadline for appeal, but Mr. A did not appeal, so the decision was in effect confirmed.

Earlier, Korean-Japanese actress A filed a lawsuit claiming damages amounting to 300 million won in July 2018, saying, "I was sexually assaulted by Cho Jae-hyun in 2004 when I was 17 years old." After that, the court decided to compulsory mediation, but Mr. A refused to accept the decision and filed an objection, and a formal trial proceeded.

In the course of the defense, Mr. A claimed that he filed a lawsuit in terms of "delivering the pain he suffered." Jo Jae-hyun side refuted, "I admit that I met in the summer of the year A claims, but deny the rest."

In February 2018, Cho Jae-hyun stopped all activities after being designated as a sexual violence perpetrator through the Me Too (me too) movement that spread to the culture and art world. It is said that he is currently living in the province and is not traveling with his family.
