Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya City announced on the 25th that they have confirmed that a total of 18 new people have been infected with the new coronavirus.
It is the first time in 35 days since December 21st that the number of confirmed infections per day fell below 20.
This brings the total number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture to 3,574.
In addition, Tochigi Prefecture announced that two patients infected with the new coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of infected people to 38 in the prefecture.
