As the movement to refrain from the memorial service continues due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, an online memorial service using the Internet was held at Chion-in in Kyoto City in hopes of ending the infection and recovering patients.

At Chion-in in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City, an online memorial service using the Internet was held from 10 am on the 24th, and it was delivered live on the video distribution site "YouTube".

In the memorial service, four monks chanted "Namu Amida Butsu" and struck a mokugyo, hoping for the end of the new corona and the recovery of infected people.

Mr. Masashi Kuki, chief of the Chion-in Otetsugi Movement, said, "I did this with the thoughts of people infected with the new corona and medical personnel. In this time of heart, everyone's uneasy support I hope I can do it. "

Chion-in will continue to hold these online memorial services on a regular basis.
