They will not return to college for a week.

The students and staff of the Arthur-Rimbaud college, in Donges (Loire-Atlantique), will have to stay at home after a cluster has been discovered in the school.

Friday, the prefect of Loire-Atlantique issued a closing order while 25 cases have been identified within the college.

"A massive screening operation" revealed that "10 classes out of 15 are affected by proven or probable cases", indicates the prefecture.

The establishment, which is the only one concerned in the department by such a measure, has around 350 students.

Another closed college, in Sarthe

Last week, in Pays-de-la-Loire where the virus has been circulating more actively in recent days, the same decision was taken in Sarthe after six cases were identified in a college in Loué.

The rector of the academy William Marois then indicated that a dozen classes were closed in the region, with a total of 508 students tested positive for the coronavirus in recent days.
