The International Festival of Photography (Xposure) has revealed that five of the world's best photographers will participate in its fifth session, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Office, during the period from 10 to 13 February at the Expo Center Sharjah.

The five photographers conveyed important international stories, and contributed to spreading awareness about many human and environmental issues, while their lenses did not neglect to document the magic of nature and world history.

The five photographers are: award-winning South African Brent Stirton, who has been honored by the United Nations in recognition of his work on the environment and in promoting awareness of HIV and AIDS, and Giles Doyle, a photo and documentary photographer who focuses on impact. Long-term conflict humanitarian, Tran Tuan Vet, from Vietnam, who specializes in travel, fine arts and cultural photography, who won international awards, Paula Bronstein, the American photojournalist known for documenting human cases, and Abdullah Al-Baqish, a specialist in urban photography.

Through their creative visual work, these photographers have challenged the most difficult circumstances and have succeeded in documenting stories that are not popular, but critical to promoting awareness of the most pressing issues around the world.
