In the largest response of its kind to a disease case published by "Emirates Today", Emirates Islamic Bank provided 4 million dirhams, Dubai Islamic Bank provided 2 million dirhams, while the Dubai International Financial Center provided 1 million and wasl properties companies 1 million, to complete the amount needed to treat "Munira".

The father of the child, who was overwhelmed by the joy of his family, after hearing the news of the donation, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the donors, and said: “What was a dream is difficult to imagine that it will come true.”

He pointed out that this great gesture is not surprising for the UAE society and its private institutions, as it is inspired by the approach of the leadership of the UAE, which is based on extending a helping hand and assistance to all who need it in this world.

The suffering of the Syrian girl is summarized as carrying a genetic genetic disease since birth, which is the spinal muscular atrophy, which caused her to be completely unable to move, and to breathe rapidly and continuously, and her heartbeat is accelerating.

According to Al Jalila Specialist Hospital in Dubai, the girl needs a needle called (Zolgensma), which is a medicinal drug given to children under the age of two years, as a one-time intravenous feeding only, at a cost of eight million dirhams.

It is an amount that the family does not have to pay, so through the "hotline" in the UAE today, it appealed to the people of good and merciful hearts to extend a helping hand to save her child from illness.

 According to the girl’s father, the doctors told him that within two months they had to provide the child with a feeding tube so that the milk would not enter the lungs, because the effect of the atrophy had begun to affect even swallowing and the lung.

He said: “My daughter’s illness made me in a bad mental state, as I have another eight-year-old girl who suffers from the same disease, and she was diagnosed in the former Mafraq Hospital in Shakhbout Medical City, when she was a year and a half old, and the doctors told me that there is no treatment, These patients have a certain age because of their weak immunity and the medical support provided to them, and then they die. ”


He continued:“ She is currently living on an artificial respirator and cannot move completely, as a result of her failure to receive treatment, and her health condition is dangerous. ”His hope remained. In the treatment of Munira, whose dream of cure seems close to realization.
