In the mountains of Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture, the severe cold continues, and the "ice exposure" where the waterfall freezes is in full bloom earlier than usual.

"Ice Baku" is in full bloom at "Choshi no Taki" in the mountains of Towada Oyu, Kazuno City.

Around 8:30 am on the 24th, the temperature drops to -8 degrees Celsius, and the cold weather continues every day. Most of the waterfalls, which are 8 meters wide and 18 meters high, are covered with ice.

According to the NPO that guides the waterfall, the cold weather is severe this winter, and the waterfall freezes and the ice becomes thicker from the beginning of this month, which is about 10 days earlier than usual.

However, as the temperature continued to rise last week, some of the ice fell and the waterfall was seen flowing.

Mr. Tadashi Kurosawa, Chairman of NPO Kazuno Furusato Gakusha, said, "You can see the entire waterfall and enjoy the ice. I want you to sit down and enjoy yourself."

It means that the "ice exposure" of the waterfall of Choshi will be seen until the middle of next month.
