On January 23, the Jinan Yellow River Tunnel, known as the "First Tunnel of the Yellow River in Ten Thousand Miles", was completed.
The tunnel is the largest public-rail joint-built shield tunnel under construction in China. It is the first time for a super-large-diameter shield to cross the "hanging river" above the ground. It will open to traffic in October this year as planned.
The Jinan Yellow River Tunnel is located on the central axis of Jinan City, connected to the main urban area in the south, and the new and old kinetic energy conversion pilot area in the north. It is invested and constructed by Jinan Urban Construction Group, and China Railway 14th Bureau Group is the general contractor of the project.
The total length of the project line is 4760 meters, the tunnel length is 3890 meters, and the shield section is 2519 meters. It is designed as a double-pipe double-layer.
The tunnel realizes the maximization of space utilization and the protection of the mother river ecology, and achieves no pollution and zero emissions during the construction process.
After the tunnel is completed and opened to traffic, a 4-minute drive across the Yellow River will speed up the transition from Jinan from the "Daming Lake Era" to the "Yellow River Era".
